IN THE STUDIO
My practice centres on the transformation of industrial and organic materials into textured, sculptural paintings. By exploring duality and the pursuit of unifying opposing forces, landscape becomes an internal excavation and a reflection of how humans interact with their environment and themselves. A space emerges where residue, memory, and time sediment are reactivated through the textures that I use as skins for the work.
The foundational structure of my process is the transformation of matter through the four elements: earth, water, fire, and air. My practice is rooted in an alchemical approach, where material change, tension, and transformation are central. Reality is constructed through primary forces in constant interaction, and visible materiality is the result of these dynamics. This understanding conceives the material world not as fixed or definitive, but as a processual manifestation, always subject to tension and continuous reorganisation.
